​Dedication and Trail Walk

About the Dedication


March 15, 2015, the Whispering Woods Braille Trail was officially opened and dedicated to the Georgia Council of the Blind.

The Ceremony

The ceremony to dedicate the trail was held on March 15, 2015. Members of Georgia Council of the Blind and others in the visually impaired community, volunteers, and official attended the ceremony. Presentations were made by Evan Barnard (Trail founder), Marsha Farrow (GCB state treasurer), Keith Morris (GCB state president), and Walter West (Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center). 

The Trail Walk

Following the dedication, attendees participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony and trail walk.
